Rodríguez points out the importance of working with African parliaments to improve their democracy and give voice to sectors that often do not have it, as well as to establish more democratic systems and with greater freedoms.
Ms Soraya Rodríguez, from the Renew Europe group, pointed out the importance of working together with Africa’s regional and sub-regional parliaments to deepen and improve the democracy of the European Union’s friendly countries.
Rodríguez points out that there are important social groups, such as women, who are contributing to the social, cultural and economic development of these countries, although they often do not have a voice to express what they need.
Working with parliaments makes it possible to establish rules of cooperation that allow African citizens to enjoy greater freedoms and more democratic systems.
