Soraya Rodríguez, MEP from Renew Europe Group, condemns before the plenary session the Cuban dictatorship and bets on a democratic transition as the only way out for the country. Rodríguez demands the release of political prisoners and makes it clear that Cuba’s ‘is one of the worst dictatorships that exist in Latin America.’ The MEP recalls that the Cuban Observatory for Human Rights has registered in November more than 1,130 repressive actions against activists, journalists, opponents, artists and minors on the island and that the European Parliament cannot fail to support Cuban society.
