Soraya Rodriguez, MEP from Renew Europe group, asks to take advantage of the change of position of the Joe Biden government in the United States to resume the dialogue in Yemen and propose a ceasefire to Saudi Arabia. Rodriguez reviews the catastrophic figures of the war in Yemen, with more than 3,000 children killed, another 5,000 maimed and 80 % of the population threatened with starvation. She calls on the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, to require all Member States to scrupulously comply with the arms sales agreement, in order to prevent weapons sold to countries in the region from being used against Yemen.
