Soraya Rodríguez, MEP from Renew Europe group, calls for increasing support for human rights defenders in China and providing them with humanitarian visas because of persecution by the Beijing government. Rodriguez also points out that China’s angry and embarrassed reaction to European condemnations means that it is the right path. Finally, she calls on the European institutions to dialogue with China, but without the latter imposing conditions on them or going on issues to be discussed.
