Soraya Rodríguez calls for zero tolerance to discrimination and sexual violence in sport and calls on plenary to act
MEP Soraya Rodríguez, from Renew Europe parliamentary group, highlights the successes achieved by the Spanish football team after their victory in the World Cup and denounces the situation of discrimination and vexatious treatment they have suffered.
The MEP says that they have complained on different occasions about this treatment, but that so far they have not been heard.
She assured that the responsibility that this vexatious treatment and discrimination experienced by women’s footballers is not repeated again is, in part, a matter for the European Parliament.
