Soraya Rodríguez calls for a European action plan to prevent and adapt to natural disasters caused by climate change
Soraya Rodríguez stands in solidarity with the victims of environmental disasters in Morocco, Libya and Greece and denounces the negative records the summer of 2023 has had. The MEP points to an unprecedented rise in temperature in the Mediterranean Sea and to Greece’s torrential rains.
The MEP says that an action plan at European level is needed to prevent and mitigate the consequences of climate disasters. Rodriguez points out, however, that the best response to these unforeseen events is to achieve a more resilient nature.
She has called for no moratoriums to be applied to the proposed measures for the EU Green Deal.
