MEP calls for more sanctions and an end to the impunity of Ortega and Murillo’s regime in Nicaragua.
Almost two years after the last sanctions against the Ortega and Murillo regime, MEP Soraya Rodríguez Ramos denounces the worsening of the situation inside the country and the systematic cruelty of the regime. She called for more sanctions against Ortega and the judges who have handed down the sentences that have stripped at least 315 people of their nationality. She also pointed out that the EU-CELAC Summit should take a stand on the violation of human rights in Nicaragua.
