Afghanistan’s taliban regime is being built on gender apartheid (AFET)

Soraya Rodríguez stresses the importance of officially cataloging as gender apartheid the situation of women in Afghanistan.

Soraya Rodríguez, a member of the Renew Europe parliamentary group, stresses the importance of the European Parliament’s move to officially catalogue as gender apartheid the situation of persecution experienced by women in Afghanistan. She says this will make it possible to pursue these crimes more harshly. She asked what measures the EU could take to help Afghan women in the diaspora and those still remaining in the country and how an alternative online education system could be set up to help the growth of Afghan girls and without funding the Taliban regime. Lastly, she asked what could be done to help women in illegal situations in countries of intonation so that they were not returned to Afghanistan.
